Greg Gordon is the founder of SermonIndex.net. He talks with Israel Wayne about the value of classic Christian sermons in audio and video. From their website:
- When did SermonIndex start?
Answer. The ministry of sermonindex started officially in December 2002. The conception of the site began a year before that when the founder read a book Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill. This book deeply impacted the founder and gave a sense of clarity to many questions relating to the desire for true revival in Church.
Q. What is the reach of this ministry?
Answer. SermonIndex has been able to reach into practically every country of the world in the last 10 years with over 100 million sermons distributed. All these resources have been made freely available to God’s people. Read some commendations of SermonIndex.net from various ministry leaders and pastors.
Q. Who runs SermonIndex?
Answer. Since its inception volunteer support has made it possible to archive thousands of audio, video and text sermons and other resources on the website. This great effort on the part of many has made it an inter-denominational expression of the body of Christ world-wide. Greg Gordon is the ministry founder who owns and operates SermonIndex.
Q. Please define to us the SermonIndex motto statement?
Answer. This phrase ‘Promoting Genuine Biblical Revival’ was adopted early on as a motto statement. Any proper desire for revival points back to the very person of Jesus Christ. The experience of Biblical revival leads to true worship of Jesus Christ and nothing subsequently. Revival also will always be verifiable Biblically and even historically.
